How long does it take to install smart home solutions?

It won’t take more than one hour to install the products, you don’t need to punch any holes and screw the devices. You can install and uninstall the product very easily.

Can I install it even after my house renovation?

Certainly you can. The smart home products are easy to install and detach. If in case, you are renovating your house you can uninstall the products in an hour and re-install the same whenever needed.

No, being in locality is not required at all. In fact, you can control your electrical devices from anywhere in the world, you just need internet connectivity.

What should I buy to make my home a smart home?

What happens if the internet network is down? Will the system work without internet?

All the sensors are connected to the hub. Hub is the brain of your smart home. Sensors and the hub are communicating through a communication protocol called ZigBee which requires no internet. Then the hub is communicating with your smart phone. This communication requires internet. If the internet is down you can’t control or communicate with sensors. System will be on but you won’t get any notification and you can’t control it remotely.

Do I need a Wi-Fi router at home for the system to work?

No, you can use LAN also. You need internet facility in home which can be a Wi-Fi or a LAN.

I get very weak Wi-Fi signal in my room, sometimes not at all; can I install the sensor there?

Yes, you can. These sensors work on ZigBee, with the mesh network enabled. Each sensor also acts as a repeater, for the home controller signal (similar to a Wi-Fi repeater).

What happens when the alarm goes off?

When the system is tripped, you will get a notification about it. You will get a message, push notification and an email. You can change the settings by yourself. How does the motion detector work?

A motion detector detects any kind of motion happening inside your smart home. Motion sensors detect any kind of motion in the house and give notification and alarm. Important: Motion detectors are sensitive to the slightest movements, and can easily cause a false alarm. Some things that can cause a motion detector to set off a false alarm include:
Balloons or other decorations
Pets
Household pests such as bugs or rodents
Cobwebs, curtains or blinds moving when a central heat or air system starts

Service calls are scheduled within a window of time. The technician will arrive at any time within that window. Before the day of your service call, we are unable to provide you with an exact time because there is no way to determine exactly how long the technician’s earlier appointments may take to complete. What should I do when I go on vacation?

Open a GizmoSmart Application. On Dashboard, Select Lock mode. By Selecting this Mode you will get push notification if any activity is tracked by the attached devices. What is LOCK Mode? What is LOCK Mode?

In LOCK Mode, your home Automation system gets Armed and if any suspicious activity in encountered by any of the sensors, it will Trigger SIREN and will notify you through Email, Message and Push Notification. For Example if Door Opens, Siren will blow and will alert you through Email and push Notification

What is CUSTOM mode?

In CUSTOM Mode, the system will be in Alarm stage but on tampering of any Sensor, it will not trigger SIREN but will alert you through Push Notification and Emails. What is UNLOCK Mode? What is UNLOCK Mode?

In UNLOCK mode, SIREN will not blow off if any sensor is triggered but you can see the status of all Devices and Sensors from the Dashboard as well as from the Activity Logs. You will also be notified in this Mode on your Smartphone. How can I check the status of any sensor? My Door is Closed but in application it’s still showing in OPEN state? How can I check the status of any sensor?

There are many ways to check the status of sensors or devices:
Go to Dashboard, you will find the Name of the Sensor and Devices attached with their Status.
Go to Device Tab in Footer of the application, you will find the attached sensors and devices with their status as well as detailed option of Logs in that
Go to More Tab in the Footer, you will find the Device attached under the Particular Hub with their Status

My Door is Closed but in application it’s still showing in OPEN state?

There could be multiple reasons for this query:
Your Door Security Sensor might not be in the range of Hub
The battery of your sensor might be weak or dead
Check if Connected Home Gateway is properly connected to internet
Your Phone’s internet connectivity might be down

I am not able to Switch OFF the Appliance from Smart Power Plug?

There could be multiple reasons for this:
Your Phone Internet might not be working
Please ensure your Hub is connected to Internet
Please ensure if Smart Power Plug is in the range of Connected Home Gateway.

How I can configure Connected Gateway on GizmoSmart application?

To configure GizmoSmart Home, first of all we need to configure Connected Gateway on GizmoSmart app then further we can add smart sensors.
1. Login to GizmoSmart App
2. Click on Smart Home Solution
3. Give a Location name and Turn on GPS to fetch hub location
4. Give a Connected Gateway name and Enter/Scan Mac address and click next
Now you can add smart devices.

What does light indication on Connected Gateway mean?

Below is the detail of LED Indication on Connected Gateway:
1. LED 1 (Green/Red)
LED 1 Green On – AC Power Normal
LED 1 Red On – AC Power Failure
LED 1 Red Slow Flash – Battery Disconnected
LED 1 Red Quick Flash – Low Battery
2. LED 2 (Red/Amber)
LED 2 Red Flash – System Alarming
LED 2 Red On – Alarm in Memory
LED 2 Amber On – Fault Events in System

How I can reset Connected Gateway to factory default?

You can clear all programmed parameters in the Connected Home Gateway and reset it to Factory Default. Once the Factory Reset is executed, all the programmed settings will returned to its default Value and all the learnt-in devices will be removed. You will need to restart the programming and learning process again.
Step 1. Disconnect the AC adaptor, slide battery switch to OFF.
Step 2. Press and Hold the reset button and connect the AC adaptor to the Control Panel. All 3
LEDs will turn on for 10 seconds.
Step 3. Keep holding the reset button for 30 seconds then release. After 10 seconds, the
Control Panel will restart and all 3 LEDs will turn on.
Step 4. Wait for 10 seconds and all 3 LEDs will turn off to indicate factory reset is complete.

How I can see the power consumption of my AC which is connected through Smart Plug

Yan can simply open GizmoSmart application and from dashboard you will be see power consumption by smart plug (Mentioned below) How I can see open/close activity of Smart Plug? To see the open/close activity/logs just tap on sensor showing on dashboard, It will open the sensor and from there you can see the recent logs/activity.

I have connected Living Room AC to smart plug, how I can rename it so that it shows with AC name?

You can rename any smart sensor, to rename smart plug, just tap on it from dashboard, and click on Edit button, Give any name and click on Update.

I wanted to turn on lights automatically when my doors open, how it is possible?

We need to create rule to turn on lights automatically with door open: Follow the steps
1. Click on Rule
2. Click on Add New Rule
3. Enter Rule name and define “IF and Then” as mentioned

I wanted to turn ON my AC automatically every morning at 7:30, how I can define that?

To Schedule AC to turn on automatically at 7:30 we need to define schedule for that.
To define Schedule follow below mentioned steps:
1. Go to app Dashboard and click on Rule
2. Click on Schedules
3. Click on Add New Schedule
4. Select Hub, Sensor, Action, Date & Time (As mentioned in images)
